During the first 4 months of the pandemic in the UK, more than 85,000 businesses were launched online (Growth Intelligence, July 2020).

If you are asking yourself, “Should I start a business?”, the answer is Yes.

If you strongly believe in your idea, the best way to know whether it will work or not is to test it out.

If it’s a kind of business idea that can’t be tested until it gets created fully, you can still talk to people about it—go beyond your family—reach out to people you don’t know and see if they will buy the product or service you are considering to offer. This way, you can get a sense of whether the idea will take off.

Something has led you to think about opening a new business. It could be:

  • You have come up with a genius idea
  • You know your target market well, and you know something is missing
  • You decided to part ways with your old job and set up your practice
  • You want to be your boss and set yourself your timetable

Thinking about it can be scary, but at the same time very exciting.

We believe that it comes down to 2 things: you have found a market gap that you can fill, and you are passionate about it.

Finding reasons not to do something is easy but taking the risk is much harder. There’s a lot of information out there about why not to do it, but really… why not?

All you have to do is try your best—and we’ll help you with your banking needs and more.

If you are still not sure about your business idea, or you are too worried about what starting a business entails—we want to help you. Write to us, and we can chat more about your business idea.
