Understanding our fees

At GoSolo, we believe in keeping our fees simple and transparent. Here’s how it works.

We charge 2% + 20p for all types of card payments accepted

Percentage fee

This fee is charged as a small percentage of the transaction amount. In some cases, a base flat fee may be charged in addition to percentage fees, or as a minimum charge in case the transaction amount is too small.

Flat fee

This type of transaction cost refers to a fixed amount of fee charged on a transaction, regardless of its value. A flat fee is a static charge that accompanies every expense made through a specific account.

Example

Let's say you accept a card payment of £100:

  • 2% of £100 is £2 (the percentage fee)
  • On top of that, we add a flat fee of 20p

So, for a £100 transaction:

  • Percentage fee: £2
  • Flat fee: 20p
  • Total commission: £2 + 20p = £2.20

After deducting our fees, you will receive £97.80 on your account.

Eligibility

You can open a company and get a business account provided you meet both our eligibility criteria and our usual general Terms and Conditions. Check if you're eligible for a business account

Company Ownership

You want to register a new Limited company in England & Wales with GoSolo, where you will be the only Director and sole shareholder

You have a Limited company in the UK, are the only Director and sole shareholder, registered with Companies House

Residency

You are a resident in the UK above 18 years old (we will have to ask you for your valid ID and proof of address as part of the onboarding process)

Business nature

Your business does not fall into a prohibited, high-risk, sanctioned or illegal category under our Terms and Conditions or International Law.
