Understanding our fees

At GoSolo, we believe in keeping our fees simple and transparent. Here’s how it works.

Percentage fee

A percentage fee is calculated based on how much money is involved in the transaction. Sometimes there might also be a minimum charge for very small transactions and an additional flat fee on top of the percentage.

Flat fee

Flat fees are simple - you pay a fixed amount for each transaction. The fee stays the same regardless of how much money is involved in the transaction.

Example

Let's say you accept a card payment of £100:

  • 1.49% of £100 is £1.49 (the percentage fee)
  • On top of that, we add a flat fee of 20p

So, for a £100 transaction:

  • Percentage fee: £1.49%
  • Flat fee: 20p
  • Total commission: £1.49 + 20p = £1.69

After deducting our fees, you will receive £98.31 on your account.

Eligibility

You can open a company and get a business account at GoSolo if you meet our eligibility criteria and general Terms and Conditions.

Company ownership

You want to register a new Limited company in England & Wales, where you will be the only Director and sole shareholder

You have a Limited company in the UK, are the only Director and sole shareholder, and are registered with Companies House

Residency

We provide our services to both entrepreneurs who reside in the UK and non-UK residents.

If you’re a UK resident, you’re required to be above 18 years old and provide a valid ID and proof of address as part of the onboarding process.

If you’re not a UK resident, you also must be above 18 years old and will undergo the ID and personal address verification process.

Business nature

Your business does not fall into a prohibited, high-risk, sanctioned or illegal category under our Terms and Conditions or International Law.
